What is a Mudra?
A mudra is a symbolic hand gesture used in yoga that acts as an energetic seal to direct the flow of energy in the body. Each mudra is designed to have different effects on your body, mind and energy. Mudras are used in conjunction with pranayama (breathing exercises) so in this series we will be exploring 3 common mudras combined with some simple breathing techniques.

‘Meditation for a Calm Heart’ is a soothing breath practice. We will use the ‘Gyan Mudra’, a gesture of knowledge and breathe together to welcome a sense of calmness and mental clarity.
