#23 Mudra Series (Part-2): Dhyana Mudra - Meditation (6min)
Hey Yogi,
Welcome to Part 2 of our 3 Part Mudra Series.
What is a Mudra?
A mudra is a symbolic hand gesture used in yoga that acts as an energetic seal to direct the flow of energy in the body. Each mudra is designed to have different effects on your body, mind and energy. Mudras are used in conjunction with pranayama (breathing exercises) so in this series we will be exploring 3 common mudras combined with some simple breathing techniques.
Mudra #2: Dhyana Mudra
In this meditation we explore holding ‘Dhyana’ Mudra. The word ‘Dhyana’ means ‘meditation’ and this mudra can be held to assist with concentration and creating a sense of inner calmness.
